Kutaisi International University Announces Students Enrolment for 2022-2023 Academic Year

Kutaisi International University (KIU) is announcing enrolment of international
students to its English language Bachelor of Science programs in Management,
Computer Science, and Mathematics.

KIU is a new public university in Georgia, and the very first ultra-modern campus-based
higher education institution in the Caucasus region. The university provides
a modern, broad-based, residential education on a par with leading institutions in the
U.S. and Europe. The goal of the university is to be an international hub of education,
science, and technology in the region.

KIU campus is located in the city of Kutaisi, the third largest city in the country
of Georgia (Sakartvelo). KIU campus is spread out on a beautiful 150 hectares of land
in an environmentally clean forest with a river running through it. KIU has opened
its doors to the first cohort of students in the fall of 2020. KIU offers dormitories
and housing for its students and staff on campus alongside with all the necessary
amenities for study, research, and rich student life.

Currently KIU offers three English language Bachelor of Science degree programs,
developed, and implemented in partnership with the Technical University of Munich
(TUM), rated the Best University in Europe in 2020 by QS World University Rankings.
The programs are:

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mathematics
• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Management

In 2022 KIU officially launches the following academic programs:
• PhD in Mathematics
• PhD in Computer Science
• PhD in Economics
• PhD in Physics
• MSc in Finance & Information Management

A key part of KIU's strategic plan is the opening of world-leading medical and scientific
research centers. These will include a KU Hadron Therapy Centre (HTC) housing two
cyclotrons, Proton Therapy Clinic for cancer treatment and Cyclotron Research Lab for
supporting international collaborative research in Medical and Experimental Physics,
Radiation Biology, Chemistry, and multidisciplinary projects.

KIU welcomes international students and launches enrolment for 2022-2023 academic

Kutaisi International University takes the leading place among the state universities.
The goal of Kutaisi International University (KIU) is to gradually become an international
center of education, science, and technology in the region. From 2020, KIU is initially offering
English language bachelor programs in Computer Science, Mathematics and Management
to students. From 2022, KIU will officially offer students a master's program in finance and
information management and doctoral programs in computer science, mathematics,
economics, and physics. The task of the University is to prepare a highly qualified workforce
and human capital, which will contribute to the economic growth and development of Georgia
and the region.
Cartu International Charitable Foundation is investing more than one billion euros in the
development of Kutaisi International University in the form of philanthropy.
In the field of research, the strategy of Kutaisi International University envisages
the development of research infrastructure equipped with modern and state-of-the-art
technologies. Based on the above infrastructure and laboratories, undergraduate, graduate,
and doctoral programs will be developed by attracting relevant science and leading experts
in the KIU.
As part of the strategic development plan, establishment of hadronic therapy center has
been started. The research center will be able to conduct scientific research in elementary
particle physics, radiation physics and biophysics. The research center will also support
the establishment of a Proton Therapy Center, in conjunction with the KIU Faculty
of Medicine.
